Bang Por villa rental details

Overview
Virtually on the beach Coconut House nestles in a lush tropical garden on the banks of a small river. Orchids and exotic plants fill the air with their perfume while coconut palms sway gently in the warm breeze beckoning you to the cool blue free-form pool and spa, or a dip in the ocean.

Location and views
From the spacious sala (Thai style summer house) you can enjoy views of the coral-sand beach of Bang Por and the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan. Beyond lie Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan, both world renowned for excellent diving. Built in traditional Thai style Coconut house combines ancient wood-craft with an interior designed for European comfort. The house has a spacious internal living area of approx. 120 sq.m. featuring 2 double bedrooms with air-conditioning and stylish bathrooms. The T.V. lounge is fitted with 2 single beds for occasional use. The kitchen/bar and lounge areas lead onto the large covered veranda with a sandstone walkway leading to the romantic sala. To the west can be seen the islands of The Angthong National marine park and the fabulous sunsets that occur most evenings. The unspoilt beach is , in the words of Bangkok Airways in-flight magazine (Fah Thai) "as Samui used to be".There are no beach-hawkers, just a few unspoilt restaurants selling mouth watering food,both local and international.

Furnishings,amenities and services
Include TV/satellite/DVD and VHS players and CD stereo. Bed-linen and all requisite towels, china and cutlery to make your stay enjoyable are supplied, plus kitchen appliances, electric iron and hair dryer. Seating for 6, sun-loungers and hammocks are there for you to relax in and enjoy an exotic cocktail while the setting sun invites you to dream on into the night. The on-site free-form pool with underwater lighting features a built-in whirlpool and childrens' plunge pool.

The surrounding tropical garden is full of bougainvillea and butterfly attracting plants. Banana and papaya trees add shade, plus free fruit in season !! The pool has a spa and a Nordic sauna, and a short 25m walk through the gardens takes you to the unspoilt beach. You can while away the days just lounging in your Sala looking out across the Ocean to far off Koh Phangan and sip a cool drink, the ideal chill-out vacation.

The villa comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 double and a cot, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has single sofa beds located in the in the TV gallery. (proper beds NOT sofa beds). This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

General:
villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

Entertainment:
The villa has television with video, dvd, satellite or cable. The music system will play cassettes, radio.

Eating & Living:
There is room for 4 in the living room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

terra says: "The house was bigger than expected. In particular, the TV room with two twin beds exceeded our expectations in terms of size and usability as an additional bedroom. The house was part of a group of homes served by an office. We did not expect this setup but were pleased as the office helped us to arrange a rental car and other activities. The beach is secluded and there is a good restaurant within walking distance - we had poor weather so it is hard to comment on its beauty of the particular stretch of beach. The house is very close to the beach but is behind two other beach front houses. There is, however, a peek-a-boo view of the beach/ocean from the sitting porch. We enjoyed our stay and the house... nothing particularly fancy, but clean, spacious and a good value! Note we had our infant daughter with us and felt that the environment was very suitable for her. "
